Funkabelly in the Flowers

Saba will be joining the Funkabelly team for this one of a kind fun event outside in the flowers!

This summer, visitors to Toronto Botanical Garden (TBG) will have the opportunity to delight in a vibrant multi-sensory experience when live music is heard in a series of free live concerts. The new series is generously sponsored by the Edwards Charitable Foundation.

Starting on June 30 and running every Thursday evening August 18, the Edwards Summer Music Series: Gardens of Song will feature the talent and artistry of some of Toronto’s most interesting musicians and dancers. Hosting duties for the evenings will alternate between Murray Foster, of Moxy Früvous and Great Big Sea, and Errol Nazareth, a regular on CBC Radio One’s Metro Morning and a columnist for The Toronto Sun.

On July 28 the series will feature Funkabelly, Toronto’s one of a kind Global Grooves Dance Party and cutting edge Bellydance Cabaret. Let down your hair and dance yourself ecstatic to Toronto’s only live Gypsy Funk Band, Nomadica. Make space on the dance floor to experience some of the best bellydance artists in Toronto and beyond bringing their deepest magic to an inspiring and enthusiastic crowd. Each FunkaBelly has a theme which inspires performers and celebrants alike, creating a atmosphere that is electric and refreshingly eccentric.
